Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nikos Acosta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Viktor Dragan! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Acosta manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dragan on his heels. He'll look to pass Dragan's guard now, I'm sure. Dragan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Acosta is controlling him. Acosta wants to pass the guard but Dragan is keeping the position. Acosta throwing strikes but missing. Acosta working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dragan's head. Acosta thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dragan is looking to stand up but Acosta isn't so interested in that idea. Dragan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Acosta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Acosta in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Dragan is looking to stand up but Acosta isn't so interested in that idea. Acosta is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. We've been hearing good reports from Acosta's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. You can see the frustration on Dragan's face as Acosta controls the position. Dragan is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Acosta asserts his dominance and retains side control. Acosta looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Dragan is avoiding damage well.

Dragan pushes Acosta away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Acosta gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Acosta is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Dragan looks calm but he's in trouble here. Acosta gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Dragan is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Acosta lets go of the hold and Dragan can pop his arm back in it's socket.
