Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tetsuo Shima (ranked 1411 p4p, 3462 weight class) and RaeRae Usman (ranked 200 p4p, 405 weight class). Shima comes to the cage accompanied by The HU - Yuve Yuve Yu. Usman is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Yaba Buluku. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as RaeRae Usman enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tetsuo Shima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, RaeRae Usman!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shima on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Usman lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Usman.
Usman is looking to slow Shima down with leg kicks.
Usman tries to clinch but Shima is having none of it.
Usman has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Shima's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Shima duly obliges.
Shima misses the shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shima will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Usman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shima stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Usman has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Shima looks to score with a jab to the body but Usman is just out of range.
Shima blocks a head kick by Usman.

and Shima counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Usman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Usman clinches up against the cage.
Usman throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
A right handed body shot lands from Shima.
Usman jumps guard but Shima stands there with Usman around his waist. Usman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Usman tries to throw a body punch but Shima avoids it by throwing Usman back against the cage.

Shima digs a right hand underneath Usman's ribcage. Usman let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Usman lands a nice shot to the body.
Usman wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Shima breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Shima cracks Usman with a good jab.
Usman throws a head kick but Shima moves out of range.
Usman misses with a straight right.
A quick step to the side and Shima tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Shima throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Usman.
Usman is looking to clinch but Shima is avoiding it.
Shima scores with a crisp jab that stopped Usman in his tracks.

A nice leg kick from Usman, right into the meat of the thigh.
Usman lands a nice hook to Shima's body. Shima takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Shima checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Shima connects with a good right hand that stumbles Usman. Usman circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Usman throws a head kick but Shima moves out of range.
Shima throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Usman.
Usman is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Usman slips a straight right by Shima.
Usman throws a leg kick but Shima moved away.
Usman looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Shima tries to bum rush Usman with a series of wild strikes but Usman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Usman's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Shima connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Usman scrambles back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A low kick from Usman misses
and Shima cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Usman has Shima pressed against the cage, preventing Shima from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Usman jumps into guard, dragging Shima to the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Shima passes Usman's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Shima decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Usman rushes Shima and presses him up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Shima's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Usman can't find room to land a body shot as Shima controls the action.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tetsuo Shima will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Shima looks to land a combination but Usman avoids it well.
Usman has Shima up against the cage in a clinch.
Usman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Usman throws a right hand that Shima ducks under and follows up with a left that Shima also avoids with ease.
Usman misses with a head kick.
It looks like Shima has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Shima misses with a two punch combination.
Usman tries to clinch but Shima moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shima wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Shima throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Usman tries to counter by closing the distance.
Usman moves out of range as Shima strikes.
Shima misses with a looping right.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shima scores with a three punch combo!
Usman is rocked!
Shima connects with a stiff jab that staggers Usman - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tetsuo Shima!
A relieved looking Tetsuo Shima thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
RaeRae Usman was interviewed post fight and said 'I'd like to thank my opponent for helping me to train harder than I ever had before. I'll be back, and ready to fight again soon!'.
