Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Silva (ranked 4413 p4p, 4377 weight class) and Samuel Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samuel Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Silva sneaks out the side door and pushes Sanchez away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Silva wants to clinch but Sanchez slips to the side
and Sanchez counters with a straight right hand.

Silva shoots in for a takedown but Sanchez shows good takedown defense.
Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Sanchez sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
