Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Serwacy Smolarek (ranked 3656 p4p, 3539 weight class) and Khamzat Kimaheave (ranked 422 p4p, 409 weight class). Smolarek's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, No Easy Way Out. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Serwacy Smolarek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Khamzat Kimaheave! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kimaheave looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Smolarek is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kimaheave is controlling him. Kimaheave has gone for a leg lock! Smolarek slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kimaheave's guard.
Smolarek has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Smolarek would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Kimaheave looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Smolarek has picked Kimaheave up and slammed him! Kimaheave can't keep hold of the triangle and Smolarek manages to pass to side control! Kimaheave looking for a sweep but Smolarek has passed into full mount! Oh no! Kimaheave is desperately trying to improve his position but Smolarek has a good base and remains in mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smolarek wants to get back to his feet but Kimaheave is holding on tight.
Kimaheave regains half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kimaheave can do anything to dispel that myth. Kimaheave looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kimaheave looking for submissions off his back. Smolarek prevents Kimaheave from improving his position. Smolarek wants to stand up but Kimaheave is controlling the position.
Kimaheave actively working from the bottom here. Smolarek decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Kimaheave shoots in and drives through. Smolarek sprawls well. Smolarek throws a head kick but Kimaheave moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Smolarek is trying to get back to his feet. Kimaheave tries for a kimura but Smolarek is defending well. Smolarek is trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kimaheave swings around for an armbar but Smolarek sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kimaheave's guard. Smolarek is looking to stand up but Kimaheave won't let him. Kimaheave escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smolarek gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. This has been an exciting period of action! Kimaheave is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kimaheave looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Smolarek has picked Kimaheave up and slammed him! Kimaheave can't keep hold of the triangle and Smolarek manages to pass to side control!

The ref makes him back up and allows Kimaheave to get to his feet. Smolarek scores with a decent looking hook. Nice straight punches there by Smolarek. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Smolarek. Kimaheave throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Smolarek was covering up waiting for the punch and Kimaheave finishes the takedown easily into guard. Kimaheave drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Smolarek manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kimaheave has Smolarek in his guard.
Kimaheave looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Smolarek has picked Kimaheave up and slammed him! Kimaheave can't keep hold of the triangle and Smolarek manages to pass to side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kimaheave tries to improve position but can't. Smolarek stands up and we're back to a striking position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kimaheave takes one to the chin there. Nice uppercut there from Smolarek. Kimaheave will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kimaheave looks for a takedown but Smolarek sprawls well. Serwacy Smolarek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khamzat Kimaheave. Smolarek knocks out Kimaheave with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Smolarek before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Smolarek picks up the big W with a huge KO!
