Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kubrat Ivanov (ranked 25051 p4p, 4893 weight class) and Judas Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Judas Gonzalez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kubrat Ivanov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Judas Gonzalez! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzalez throws a series of punches but Ivanov avoids them all with ease. Ivanov changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Ivanov misses with a two punch combination.
Gonzalez throws a counter combo. Ivanov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gonzalez quickly recovers to half guard. Ivanov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Ivanov escapes and gets back to his feet. Ivanov tries to clinch there but Gonzalez circles away.
Ivanov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gonzalez. Ivanov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gonzalez. Ivanov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gonzalez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ivanov advances to mount. Ivanov with the ground and pound from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ivanov looking to control and managing it successfully. Ivanov could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Gonzalez is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Ivanov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ivanov has control of Gonzalez's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gonzalez regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The referee warns Gonzalez that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ivanov jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gonzalez is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gonzalez and Ivanov has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Ivanov is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Gonzalez's shoulder. That is not cool. Ivanov tries for a kimura but Gonzalez is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gonzalez is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ivanov is controlling him well. Ivanov lands a few punches from side control. Ivanov takes a little break here. Gonzalez wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. We've been hearing that Ivanov has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Ivanov moves into full mount! Ivanov has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gonzalez's face.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ivanov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Ivanov with a couple of short strikes. Ivanov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Ivanov looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ivanov sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kubrat Ivanov dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ivanov misses with an uppercut
and Gonzalez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ivanov misses with a takedown and Gonzalez counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Ivanov dives in and scores a takedown into Gonzalez's guard. Ivanov looking to control the position here, rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ivanov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gonzalez, up you get!
That's one minute gone in the round. Ivanov looks for a takedown but Gonzalez sprawls well. Judas Gonzalez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ivanov fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kubrat Ivanov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gonzalez lands a nice shot that snaps Ivanov's head back.
Gonzalez misses with a combination
and Ivanov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gonzalez won't be happy with that. Ivanov happy to just control the position for now. Gonzalez wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ivanov tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Ivanov decides to take the fight back to the feet. Ivanov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gonzalez's half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gonzalez is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ivanov controlling the pace. Gonzalez on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Ivanov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Ivanov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gonzalez for as long as he can get away with.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Gonzalez shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ivanov eats them both and turns towards Gonzalez to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Gonzalez ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Gonzalez looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ivanov takes a shot right to the bread basket. A decent looking cross lands there for Gonzalez. Gonzalez lands a left and a right that send Ivanov crashing to the mat, dazed. Gonzalez thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Ivanov is rocked! Gonzalez lands with a right and another and another! Ivanov is in big trouble! Gonzalez lands again and this time it's lights out for Ivanov! A quality knockout there for Gonzalez.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Judas Gonzalez!
