Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jermaine Event (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Event has chosen Eazy E - Real M***** F****** G's as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alex Cole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jermaine Event!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cole swinging wilding here.
No joy there for Cole, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cole lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Event backs up against the cage.


It looks like Jermaine Event has been cut.
Cole misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cole slaps away a takedown attempt from Event, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Event showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cole.
Event looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Event lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cole circles away quickly and effectively.
Cole throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Event lands a head kick. Cole smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Event fails in his attempt to clinch.

Event shoots in for a takedown but Cole shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Alex Cole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jermaine Event.

Event throws a nice looking combination but Cole bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Event gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Cole.
Event doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Good exchange - Cole coming out on top.

Cole rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Event moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Event.

Event is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Cole jumps into side control!
Event is looking for a sweep.
Cole remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Cole stands up and beckons Event to his feet.
Cole is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Event throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cole misses with the combination.
Event is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cole smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Cole lands with a big left! Event is wobbled badly! Cole comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Event to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
