Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matheys De Heyst (ranked 5322 p4p, 5159 weight class) and Ricky Conlan (ranked 483 p4p, 477 weight class). Conlan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Don't waste my time kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Heyst shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Conlan as he avoids it easily.
Conlan only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Conlan feints and as De Heyst raises his hands in defense, Conlan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
De Heyst is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Conlan is looking to stand up but De Heyst won't let him.
Conlan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Heyst pushes a forearm under Conlan's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Conlan is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
