Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Terrance Harris (ranked 2370 p4p, 2542 weight class) and Chimzat Khamaev (ranked 303 p4p, 325 weight class). Khamaev is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Theme Song. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khamaev ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Harris lands a nice hook to Khamaev's body. Khamaev takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Harris got a little sloppy there for a moment and Khamaev has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Harris has managed to get both his arms back between Khamaev's legs - danger averted.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Khamaev feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Khamaev walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Harris wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Khamaev will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Khamaev closes the distance and clinches up with Harris, looking for a takedown. Khamaev pushes Harris against the cage but Harris circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Khamaev loses concentration momentarily and Harris pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Khamaev crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Harris finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
