Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hero Hero (ranked 4923 p4p, 4191 weight class) and Ali Shikan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Hero Hero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ali Shikan! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shikan rushes Hero and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Hero ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hero no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Hero escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shikan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Shikan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hero throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Hero has his feet on Shikan's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Shikan shoots in for a takedown but Hero shows good takedown defense. Shikan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hero gets in close and instigates a clinch. Shikan fails to pull guard.
Hero Hero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ali Shikan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shikan tries to pull guard but Hero forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Shikan has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hero uses from the top position. Shikan is trying to control the position but Hero postures up. Shikan keeping moving, preventing Hero from controlling successfully. Shikan is pulling down on Hero's head to control his posture. Hero trying to control but Shikan is working from the bottom. Shikan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hero decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shikan fails with a takedown attempt. Nice takedown defense from Shikan. No joy for Hero on that attempt. Shikan fails with the takedown and Hero counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Hero instigates a clinch. Shikan fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hero wants a takedown but no success here.
Hero changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Shikan fights it off and pushes away nicely.
No joy there for Hero, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Hero has a takedown stuffed. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shikan. Shikan has his takedown stuffed and Hero counters by clinching up. Shikan looks winded! Hero is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Shikan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Shikan wants to take the fight to the mat but Hero manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Hero's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Hero tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Shikan just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hero manages to break the clinch.
Hero shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shikan pinned against the cage. Shikan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hero closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shikan circles away. Shikan lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Hero throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hero leaves Shikan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hero is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shikan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hero avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hero tries to counter by clinching up but Shikan breaks away and moves out of range. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Hero Hero dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Hero shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Shikan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hero is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shikan can do to turn this around? Hero shoots in and drives through. Shikan sprawls well. Horrible takedown attempt by Shikan or perhaps it was just good defense by Hero, which made it look bad. Hero half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Hero throws a nice looking combination but Shikan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Shikan wants to clinch. That's one minute gone in the round. Shikan is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Shikan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hero pulls him back up using the underhooks. A bit of stalling here from Hero.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Hero breaks from the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shikan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hero Hero is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hero tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shikan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hero somewhat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hero tries to clinch there but Shikan circles away.
Hero Hero is winning the standup battle so far. Shikan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hero defends it nicely. Shikan slaps away a takedown attempt from Hero, before circling back to the center of the mat. Shikan has his takedown stuffed and Hero counters with a good low kick that Shikan was not able to check. Shikan is breathing heavily. Shikan looks to throw the jab but Hero is out of range. No luck with that takedown attempt from Shikan. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hero.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shikan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hero closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hero tries to pull guard but Shikan won't allow it.
Hero lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Shikan backwards. Shikan is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Hero is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Shikan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Hero goes for a takedown in the clinch but Shikan prevents it.
Hero drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Shikan gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Shikan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hero trying to control but Shikan is working from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hero accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Hero Hero will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Shikan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hero as he avoids it easily. Hero scores with a head kick.
It looks like Ali Shikan has been cut. Shikan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hero breaks from the clinch.
Shikan shoots in for a takedown but Hero shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Shikan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hero counters with a thumping low kick. Hero Hero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ali Shikan. Hero plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Whack! Hero lands a heavy head kick that drops Shikan. The ref tackles Hero to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Shikan was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Hero Hero!
