Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Cigano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atlas Klaat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cigano kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rocky Balboa Theme. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Junior Cigano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Atlas Klaat!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Cigano misses.
Klaat tries to bum rush Cigano with a series of wild strikes but Cigano uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Klaat has managed to clinch.
Cigano tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Cigano can't break the clinch.
Klaat has Cigano pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cigano manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Klaat scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Junior Cigano has been cut.
Klaat lands a takedown into guard.
Cigano throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Cigano working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Klaat has passed into half guard!
Klaat is taking a breather. Cigano says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's one minute gone in the round.
It looks like Klaat is going to stand back up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Cigano is looking for a sweep. Klaat is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Klaat controlling the pace.
Cigano looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Cigano has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Klaat is working away from the top position though.
Klaat seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Cigano has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Klaat. Oh but Cigano has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Klaat goes limp - he's gone! Cigano jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Junior Cigano!
