Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buakaw Banchamek (ranked 4186 p4p, 4140 weight class) and Nino Jerebus (ranked 486 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Buakaw Banchamek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nino Jerebus!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banchamek lands with a thumping leg kick.
Jerebus with a poor takedown
and Banchamek counters with a head kick. That will keep Jerebus thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Jerebus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jerebus just content to control the position.
Banchamek on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Banchamek tries to get out of the position.
Banchamek gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Jerebus should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Let's hope that Jerebus has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Banchamek is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

I would not like to be Banchamek right now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like Jerebus might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Jerebus shoots in looking for a takedown but Banchamek manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jerebus's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Banchamek throws a quick counter kick to the body but Jerebus avoids it.
Jerebus shoots for a takedown but Banchamek saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Banchamek looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

and Banchamek counters with an inside leg kick.

Jerebus closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Banchamek's guard.
Banchamek wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Jerebus manages to pass to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jerebus uses his free foot to push down on Banchamek's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Banchamek.
Jerebus takes Banchamek's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Banchamek is in trouble.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Jerebus.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Banchamek is trying to stand back up.
Nino Jerebus has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jerebus biding his time, looking for the opening.

That was a close second round but I would say that Buakaw Banchamek will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Banchamek throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Nino Jerebus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jerebus walks forward, straight into a front kick from Banchamek.
Banchamek is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
