The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metzelder fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lamb looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Metzelder scores with a jab.

Metzelder lands with a hook. Lamb tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Lamb takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Lamb looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Metzelder is fending him off so far but Lamb persists. Nope, Metzelder circles away and we're back to standing.

Metzelder has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Lamb is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Lamb takes a shot to the head.
A frustrated look appears on Metzelder's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Metzelder wants to break the clinch but can't.
Metzelder prevents the takedown attempt.

Metzelder is looking to break free of the clinch but Lamb has double underhooks.
Metzelder lands a right hand that snaps the head of Lamb backwards.

Metzelder is pressed up against the cage. Lamb has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Metzelder down to the mat. Metzelder avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Lamb shoots in and bounces Metzelder off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Lamb is in close to Metzelder's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Lamb is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Metzelder tries to kick Lamb off but Lamb keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Metzelder really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lamb. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lamb in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Metzelder tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Lamb!
