Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcel Chapron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demarco Goodrich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chapron comes into the arena with Darude - Sandstorm blaring out of the sound system. Goodrich has chosen Walk in New York as his entrance music. Marcel Chapron has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Goodrich there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Chapron throws a sloppy head kick and Goodrich moves out of range easily.
Both fighters circling a little - Chapron finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Chapron tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Chapron sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Goodrich to the ground! Chapron dives into full mount looking to finish!

It looks like Demarco Goodrich has been cut.
Goodrich tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Goodrich is still in real trouble! Can Chapron finish him?
Chapron tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Goodrich seems to have recovered his senses.
Chapron's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Chapron get's back to his feet.
Goodrich is looking to clinch.
Goodrich on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Chapron. Chapron obviously looking to wear him down.

Chapron will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Goodrich walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Chapron moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Goodrich is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Chapron throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Chapron gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

The fighters circle momentarily. Goodrich darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Goodrich throws a nice inside leg kick.

Chapron gets caught flat footed, as Goodrich shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Goodrich gets to his feet - Chapron follows without any prompting.
Chapron lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Goodrich backs up against the cage.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Chapron here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Goodrich throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Goodrich misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Goodrich throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chapron's waist but Chapron gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Goodrich off to one side.

Chapron's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Goodrich is working for a guillotine from mount but Chapron frees his head quite easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Goodrich unloads with some shots from mount but Chapron bucks and avoids them well.
