Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Stoic (ranked 4043 p4p, 4119 weight class) and Alex Williams (ranked 462 p4p, 466 weight class). Andrei Stoic looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrei Stoic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Williams! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams fails to land the takedown. Stoic looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Stoic throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. No luck for Williams with that takedown attempt. Horrible takedown attempt by Williams or perhaps it was just good defense by Stoic, which made it look bad. Andrei Stoic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Williams. Williams shoots in for a takedown but Stoic shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Williams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stoic pinned against the cage. Stoic gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stoic chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Stoic closes the distance and clinches. Stoic stalling in the clinch but Williams improves position. Stoic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Williams shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Stoic wants to improve his position but Williams is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Williams scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Williams tries to stand and escape but Stoic is controlling the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stoic slaps away a takedown attempt from Williams, before circling back to the center of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Stoic looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Williams drives through with a takedown into guard. Williams throws a big right hand that misses. Stoic looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Stoic is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Williams is pressing down on Stoic's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Williams lands a couple of shots from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Stoic wants to get up but he can't break Williams's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Williams throws a couple of heel strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Williams trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Williams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Williams will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Stoic postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Williams wants to sweep but no luck. Stoic postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Williams keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom. Williams lands with a heel strike from the guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Stoic trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Williams punching to the body, from the bottom. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Williams strikes from his own guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Williams is defended easily by Stoic. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Andrei Stoic dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Stoic's corner calls for a 1-2. Stoic obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Williams clinches up with Stoic and pushes him back against the cage. Williams tries to pull guard but Stoic won't allow it.

Stoic is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Williams can do to turn this around? Williams breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Williams drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams tries to stand but Stoic is controlling from the bottom. Williams is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stoic bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Williams's guard.

Alex Williams has got the better of the ground game so far. Williams manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stoic manages to get himself to full guard.

Williams works over Stoic with some ground and pound from guard. Williams wants to pass the guard but Stoic is keeping the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stoic is on top in guard.

Williams striking off his back but it's not causing Stoic any problems. Our spies down at at Cozad MMA London inform us that Williams has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Williams doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Stoic cracks Williams with an open hand slap. Williams shoots in looking for a takedown. Stoic tries to sprawl out of it but Williams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stoic manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sloppy strikes from Stoic. Those never looked like landing. And Williams tries to counter it with a takedown but Stoic pushes his down on his head and steps out. Williams dives in and grabs Stoic's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stoic pushes down on Williams's head and hops out. Andrei Stoic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Williams. Williams takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stoic enables Williams to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stoic manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Stoic has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Williams is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Williams tries to score a body lock takedown but Stoic shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Stoic scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Williams looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Williams is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Williams wants to take a breather but Stoic is having none of it. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Williams is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Stoic is just riding it out for now. Williams eventually gives up the hold. Stoic slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Williams wants to stand but Stoic is controlling his posture from full guard. Stoic escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Williams gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Stoic sprawls well. Stoic lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Williams backs up against the cage.

Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Stoic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Alex Williams. I think Stoic has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Andrei Stoic! Andrei Stoic decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
