Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Travis Carter (ranked 4052 p4p, 24912 weight class) and Sandy Storm (ranked 462 p4p, 576 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Travis Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sandy Storm! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter leaves Storm with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Carter swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. A momentary lapse in concentration from Carter enables Storm to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Carter manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Carter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Storm can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Storm trying to stand up but can't free himself from Carter's guard. Carter is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Storm is aware though and is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter wants to stand and escape but Storm is having none of it. Storm stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carter swivels though and keeps the full guard. Storm stands and steps away. Carter gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter leaves Storm with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Storm fails with a takedown attempt. Travis Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sandy Storm. Carter scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Storm explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Storm shoots in and bounces Carter off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Storm wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving. Storm looks winded!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Carter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Storm can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Carter keeping moving, preventing Storm from controlling successfully. Carter bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Storm's guard. Carter trying to control the position from guard on top but Storm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Storm is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Carter landing with the ground and pound. Carter working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Carter trying to control but Storm is working from the bottom. Carter controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Storm throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Storm keeping moving, preventing Carter from controlling successfully. Carter stays in close to Storm's body and controls the position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Carter looking to sit in guard and control but Storm gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carter controls Storm momentarily but Storm frees himself. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sandy Storm will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Carter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Carter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Storm as he jumps to the side. Storm fails with a takedown attempt. Storm throws out a leg kick but Carter moves out of range and Storm only half commits. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter lands a nice leg kick that just misses Storm's sensitive parts. Carter shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Storm but Storm pushes him off and we're back to square one. Storm changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Travis Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carter lands a head kick!
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm clinches. Storm works on Carter's body with a couple of short punches. Carter breaks from the clinch.
Nice body kick there by Carter. Storm closes the distance and clinches. Storm dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the ropes. Carter can't get the takedown.
Carter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Carter is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Storm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Storm sprawls well. Storm wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Carter gets slowly back to his feet. Carter misses with a takedown and Storm cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Storm defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Carter. Carter stuffs the takedown attempt from Storm. Storm gets slowly back to his feet. Storm is breathing heavily. Carter avoids the head kick by Storm.
This has been an exciting period of action! Carter shoots for a double leg takedown but Storm sprawls well. He's pushed Carter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Carter fails with the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Storm to the ground. Carter is now in Storm's guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Carter engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Storm trying to control the position.
Carter works a leg free and moves into half guard. Carter lands with a punch from half guard. Carter working the head and body with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Storm is not content to let Carter control the position. Carter is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Storm sees it coming and defends easily. Carter is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Carter slips a nice elbow through Storm's hands, connecting with Storm's forehead. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ground and pound from Carter. Storm is staying active underneath Carter, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Travis Carter will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Carter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Storm as he avoids it easily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Storm. Carter looks to move to half guard but instead Storm has passed into mount! Damn! Carter wants to hold on but Storm pushes him away. Carter really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Storm is landing with strikes. Carter can't take much more of this. Carter avoids the strikes from Storm. Carter can't escape the position.

Storm takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Storm has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Carter has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Storm is hanging on to Carter's back as he tries to escape.
Sandy Storm has got the better of the ground game so far. Carter trying to control the action but Storm just sinks the hooks in. Storm controlling well, preventing Carter from escaping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter trying to control the position but Storm manages to sink in the hooks. Carter is really stuck here.
Carter trying to get back to his feet but Storm is in full control for now. Storm is hanging on to Carter's back as he tries to escape.
Carter really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Storm's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position. Carter trying to control the action but Storm just sinks the hooks in.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Carter tries to escape but Storm has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Storm doesn't have the hooks in and Carter manages to turn into his guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Sandy Storm comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Storm has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
