Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kimmo Peramaki (ranked 1573 p4p, 2538 weight class) and Little Late (ranked 218 p4p, 325 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peramaki fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Late, pushing him back against the cage.

Peramaki has a closed guard, preventing Late from standing up.

Peramaki looking for a guillotine here but Late defends easily.

Peramaki looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Peramaki moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Late has worked his arm free - good work by Late!

Peramaki tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Peramaki has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Late explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Late.

Late avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Peramaki has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Late can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Late pushes down on Peramaki's leg and manages to get into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Late is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Late has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Peramaki is looking to cinch up a triangle. Late throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Peramaki's body to avoid the submission. Peramaki has instead reached around Late's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Peramaki arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
