Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maito Kaishi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and tony jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaishi comes to the cage accompanied by Monkey Man. Kaishi has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Maito Kaishi has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Maito Kaishi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, tony jackson! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice body kick from jackson. Kaishi is breathing heavily. jackson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kaishi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
jackson looks for a takedown but Kaishi sprawls well. Maito Kaishi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of tony jackson. The fight stays on the outside here - jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. jackson shoots for a takedown but Kaishi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. jackson drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Kaishi grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kaishi manages to reverse the position and now he's in jackson's guard. Nice work there by Kaishi.

Kaishi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! jackson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kaishi, into his guard. Kaishi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kaishi tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. jackson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Nice takedown defense from Kaishi. No joy for jackson on that attempt. Kaishi throws a left and a right that both miss
and jackson counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Kaishi turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! jackson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. jackson is trying to control Kaishi's posture but Kaishi avoids it. Kaishi wants to lay and pray for a moment but jackson keeps working. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kaishi tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Kaishi working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nice sprawl there from Kaishi as jackson shoots in. jackson closes the distance and clinches up with Kaishi, looking for a takedown. jackson pushes Kaishi against the cage but Kaishi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. jackson is looking to chop away at Kaishi's legs. jackson gets a clinch. Kaishi is pressed up against the cage. jackson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kaishi down to the mat. Kaishi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Maito Kaishi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of tony jackson. Kaishi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kaishi showed some decent athleticism there. jackson pushes Kaishi off looking to stand but Kaishi dives back in and keeps control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. jackson is pressing down on Kaishi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. jackson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The fighters roll with the hold and jackson manages to kick Kaishi off! Kaishi jumps back into jackson's guard. Kaishi wants to control from the top but jackson keeps moving. Kaishi pushing down on jackson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kaishi looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. jackson is defending against the submission attempts here by Kaishi.

Kaishi is looking for a kimura but jackson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kaishi to get the leverage. jackson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kaishi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's three minutes gone in the round. jackson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kaishi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kaishi is pushing down on jackson's leg trying to pass to half guard. jackson is fighting to maintain full guard but Kaishi has managed to sneak the leg through. jackson is pressing down on Kaishi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kaishi wants to pass the guard but jackson is keeping the position. Kaishi drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and jackson dives on top into guard. Kaishi looking to hit a scissor sweep but jackson is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. jackson wants to control from the top but Kaishi keeps moving. jackson with a flurry of punches that miss. jackson stands up from guard. Let's bang! Kaishi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kaishi had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. jackson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kaishi Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take jackson's back instead. Kaishi avoiding jackson 's attempts to control his hands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but tony jackson will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kaishi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. jackson with a poor takedown and Kaishi counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for jackson! jackson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
jackson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kaishi swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and jackson is now in Kaishi's guard. A big mistake from Kaishi there, giving up the dominant position! jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kaishi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. jackson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Maito Kaishi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! jackson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kaishi stops jackson from standing up. Kaishi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed jackson's guard. Kaishi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so jackson is just riding it out for now. Kaishi eventually gives up the hold. jackson is looking for a sweep. Kaishi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that's the end of the fight! Maito Kaishi showed his dominance in that final round. Well jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
