Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Gerald Gordeau (ranked 4706 p4p, 24388 weight class) and Stan Young (ranked 540 p4p, 602 weight class). Stan Young will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gerald Gordeau! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stan Young! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gordeau scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Stan Young has been cut. Young takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Gordeau throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Young's head. A decent looking cross lands there for Gordeau. Gordeau moves out of range as Young strikes. Gordeau scores with a hook. Young looks to land a left hand but Gordeau moved out of range nicely. Young doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Gordeau looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gordeau throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Gordeau throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Gordeau fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Young has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Gordeau lands with a kick to the temple. Young shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Gordeau definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gordeau scores with a hook to the body. Young takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. That kick from Gordeau tenderised Young's leg. Young is trying to keep his angry face on. Young swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Gordeau throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A nice leg kick lands there from Gordeau. Gordeau lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Young looks winded! Young avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gordeau throws a series of punches but Young moves out of range. Gordeau looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gordeau goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Gordeau avoids a lazy jab quite easily. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Young crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Gordeau - the referee stops the clock and Young gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Gordeau. Young manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. This has been an exciting period of action! Gordeau jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Gordeau throws a quick inside leg kick. Gordeau throws a nice head kick!
Gordeau works Young's body with a nice hook. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gordeau goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Gordeau catches Young napping and connects with a fantastic 3 punch combination that sends Young crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but he's all over the place - can he beat the count?!? 4,5,6,7,8...9...10! He didn't make it back to his feet! Gordeau raises both arms skywards and takes in the roar from the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Gerald Gordeau!
