Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sigandi Legend Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gregory Leighton!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Legend Jr shoots and misses
and Leighton counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Leighton.
Legend Jr looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Leighton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Leighton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Legend Jr, pushing him back against the cage.
Legend Jr has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Leighton is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Leighton is trying to trip Legend Jr. He has hold of a leg but Legend Jr is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Leighton persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Leighton gets to his feet - Legend Jr follows without any prompting.
Look low, kick high! Leighton uses the oldest trick in the book to send Legend Jr tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Leighton is absolutely delighted - when Legend Jr wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Gregory Leighton!
