PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Angus Scott (ranked 3335 p4p, 3672 weight class) and Samuel Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott comes to the cage accompanied by Eatin pussy and kickin ass. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Angus Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samuel Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott throws a left and a right that both miss
and Scott takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Scott scores with the left hand. Sanchez knows he should have avoided that one.
Sanchez looks to land a body kick but Scott moved away.
Scott tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Sanchez is able to avoid easily.
Sanchez lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Sanchez slips a straight right by Scott.
Scott throws a hook to the side of Sanchez's head but Sanchez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Scott looks to land a right hand but Sanchez moved out of range.
Scott avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Sanchez counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Scott takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Sanchez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Scott won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

It looks like Sanchez might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sanchez lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Sanchez shoots in looking for a takedown but Scott manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sanchez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A close second round but Samuel Sanchez will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Sanchez has hold of one of Scott's legs. Scott is fighting the takedown attempt but Sanchez gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Samuel Sanchez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sanchez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
