Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ton Tyk (ranked 2190 p4p, 3167 weight class) and Theodore Berber (ranked 311 p4p, 404 weight class). Theodore Berber has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ton Tyk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Theodore Berber! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Tyk. Tyk drops down looking for a counter takedown but Berber sprawls and moves away. Tyk keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tyk takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. We've been hearing reports that Tyk has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Tyk takes one on the button. Berber throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tyk seems to be looking for submissions.

Tyk slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Tyk seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Berber for as long as he can get away with. Tyk forces his way into half guard. Tyk is just content to waste time from the top position. That was a close round but I would say that Ton Tyk will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Berber falls off balance throwing a combination

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Tyk on the wrong end of a nice jab. Tyk slips a straight right by Berber. Tyk takes one on the chin but seems OK.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tyk seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Berber does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Tyk is trying to work for a kimura but Berber is defending well.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ton Tyk. I think Tyk has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
