Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bridges (ranked 3166 p4p, 24871 weight class) and Beast Mode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mode has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Beast Mode has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Bridges! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Beast Mode! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bridges goes for a double leg but Mode avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mode continues to drive forward. Mode looks winded! Bridges gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mode regains guard.
Bridges content to stall in guard here. Bridges's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Bridges in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bridges slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Bridges shoots in and bounces Mode off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Bridges is standing up over Mode. Mode looks to escape but Bridges dives into side control.
Bridges creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bridges is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mode will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Bridges moves into full mount! Bridges controlling the position easily from mount. Bridges wants to finish this one by submission but Mode is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bridges.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bridges tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mode can do anything to dispel that myth. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bridges lands a heavy elbow. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Billy Bridges dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Bridges gets a takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bridges is taking a breather. Mode says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Bridges seems to be working for a kimura but Mode defends the submission attempt. Bridges will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Bridges content to control rather than advance. Billy Bridges overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mode is breathing heavily.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Bridges working for a submission but Mode is keeping him at bay.

He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Mode turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Bridges off and cradles Mode's limp body as Bridges celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Billy Bridges!
