Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Benny Lavender!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jackson Thompson!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson throws out a loose jab but Lavender uses good head movement to avoid it.
Thompson swings widly with a right hand
and Lavender counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Thompson ducks under a wild hook from Lavender.
Lavender misses with a two punch combination.
Thompson misses with a hook. Lavender ducked under it nicely.
Sloppy strikes from Lavender. Those never looked like landing.
Nice straight punches there by Thompson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Thompson.
Thompson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Jackson Thompson has been cut.
Thompson connects with a single shot there.
Thompson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Lavender moves away from the strike by Thompson.
Thompson is still on wobbly legs! Can Lavender finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thompson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lavender ducks under a wild hook from Thompson.
Lavender scores with a jab to the body.
Thompson seems to have recovered his senses.
Thompson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lavender on the side of the head.

It looked like Lavender wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Lavender swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jackson Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lavender moves away from the strike by Thompson.
Thompson lands a left and a right that send Lavender crashing to the mat, dazed. Thompson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Lavender is rocked!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Thompson moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Lavender! Thompson continues to tee off on Lavender, landing with a left and a right! Thompson connects with a right hand that leaves Lavender sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Thompson!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jackson Thompson!
As Jackson Thompson got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Can you feel that? What an incredible night!
