Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aleksandr Grishov (ranked 3454 p4p, 3544 weight class) and Rahmi Kaan (ranked 376 p4p, 385 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksandr Grishov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rahmi Kaan!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grishov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Grishov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Aleksandr Grishov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Grishov shoots in and bounces Kaan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Kaan is adopting a defensive guard.

Grishov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kaan dives on top into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kaan controls from within his opponent's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kaan wants to control from the top but Grishov keeps moving.

Grishov has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Kaan is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Grishov.
Grishov is looking to reverse the position.

The strikes coming from Kaan are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Grishov is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kaan's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Grishov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kaan pulls his head out easily.
Kaan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Grishov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Grishov shoots in looking for a takedown but Kaan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Grishov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Grishov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Grishov drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kaan pulls his leg out and moves away.

Kaan is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Grishov with a body shot.

Grishov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kaan tries to avoid it but Grishov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kaan to the ground. Kaan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kaan throws out a counter right but Grishov avoids it with no problem.
Grishov tries to move into range but Kaan moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Kaan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Grishov.
