Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 5768 p4p, 23088 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 91 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 84 - 24 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Fighter B gets caught flat footed, as Fighter A shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fighter A is fighting to break Fighter B's control of his arms but Fighter B is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Fighter B avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Fighter B wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter A postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Fighter B seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Fighter B stuffs the takedown attempt from Fighter A. Fighter A gets slowly back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fighter A looks to land a body kick but Fighter B moved away.
And Fighter B responds with a good body kick, but Fighter A manages to step out the way in time.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Fighter A has a takedown stuffed.
Fighter B counters with a body kick.
Fighter A fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fighter B looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Fighter A!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fighter A tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fighter B wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fighter B takes a little break here. Fighter A wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Xxx Xxx will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Fighter A shoots for a takedown but Fighter B saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Fighter B manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fighter A on his heels. He'll look to pass Fighter A's guard now, I'm sure.
Fighter A trying to keep a closed guard but Fighter B is proving a slippery customer.
Fighter A wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter A is looking to stand up but Fighter B isn't so interested in that idea.

Fighter B postures up.
Fighter B has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Fighter B content to stall in guard here.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Fighter B's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fighter B is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fighter B misses with a takedown attempt - Fighter A sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And Fighter A counters with a quick kick to the body but Fighter B blocks it.
Fighter B fails with a takedown attempt.
Fighter A quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Fighter A tries to sprawl but Fighter B drives through with a takedown into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A has a hand on Fighter B's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Fighter B takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fighter B avoids the attempt from Fighter A to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fighter A is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Fighter A tries to hold on but Fighter B postures up.
Fighter B controlling the pace for now.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Xxx Xxx showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Fighter A shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Fighter A was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Fighter B is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Fighter A off and has taken his back!

Fighter B is hanging on to Fighter A's back as he tries to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
I would not like to be Fighter A right now.
Fighter A trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fighter A is in bad spot here.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Fighter B's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Fighter B not allowing Fighter A to control his hands.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Fighter A is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Fighter B controls the action.
Fighter A just trying to survive but Fighter B is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fighter B doesn't have the hooks in and Fighter A manages to turn into his guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fighter B can do anything to dispel that myth.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fighter B pulls Fighter A in close to prevent any damage.
Fighter B wants to hit a sweep here but Fighter A passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Fighter B there!

And that's the end of the fight!
Xxx Xxx comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Fighter B has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
