Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Neilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Slick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neilson comes to the cage accompanied by Who Run This- 50 cent. Nick Slick has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Neilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Slick!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neilson stalks Slick and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Slick's face. Slick staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Nick Slick has been cut.
Slick ducks under a wild hook from Neilson.
Slick tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Neilson misses with a straight right.

Slick scores with a takedown into Neilson's guard.
Neilson keeping moving, preventing Slick from controlling successfully.
Slick throws a big right hand that misses.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Neilson pulls Slick in close to prevent any damage.

Neilson kicks Slick off and gets to his feet.

Slick shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Slick was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Slick throws a series of punches but Neilson avoids them all with ease.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Neilson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Slick sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Neilson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

and Slick decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Neilson's guard.

Neilson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Slick is one step ahead there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Slick takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Neilson rushes Slick and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Slick blocks the elbow strike.
Neilson has had enough of the clinch but Slick keeps him there for the moment.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Neilson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Neilson catches Slick with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Neilson wants to control the pace but Slick is squirming around nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Neilson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Kevin Neilson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

and Slick counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Neilson throws a nice looking combination but Slick bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Slick's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Neilson controls Slick momentarily but Slick frees himself.

Slick takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Neilson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Slick uses his free foot to push down on Neilson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Neilson.
Neilson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Neilson tries to lock up and control but Slick gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Neilson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Slick wants to control but Neilson is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Slick controls Neilson momentarily but Neilson frees himself.

Neilson cracks Slick with a right hand to the side of the head.
Slick closes this distance looking for a takedown but Neilson circles away.

Neilson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Neilson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Slick walks into a straight right hand from Neilson.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kevin Neilson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Neilson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
