Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Andor Kovacs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 22 - 0, fighting out of London, Ilya Bryzgalov!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovacs jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bryzgalov looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Kovacs closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kovacs tightens his grip and picks Bryzgalov up, before dumping him to the ground. Bryzgalov manages to land in guard.
Kovacs drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Kovacs as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Bryzgalov screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Kovacs! Nice submission victory there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Andor Kovacs!
A very excited looking Andor Kovacs rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
