Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Sand Storm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Colby Cake!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Chris Dean and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Storm closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Cake tries to improve position but can't.
Storm happy to just control the position for now.
Cake struggling a bit here.

Storm stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Storm swats away the attempt to clinch by Cake.
Storm is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Cake.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cake shoots in and drives through. Storm sprawls well.
Storm fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Storm dives in for a single leg takedown but Cake sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Storm changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cake fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sand Storm. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cake displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Storm.

Storm dives in and scores a takedown into Cake's guard.
Cake is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Storm dives into side control.

Storm really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cake tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Cake is in a horrible position here. Storm smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Storm looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cake is trying to reverse the position but instead Storm has taken his back - oops!

Storm is working for a rear naked choke. Cake is not defending it well and Storm has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Cake refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Cake's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Sand Storm!
