Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tahboule Alawi (ranked 3273 p4p, 22865 weight class) and John Frost (ranked 256 p4p, 400 weight class). Alawi comes to the cage accompanied by The Ruler of Everything. Tahboule Alawi is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tahboule Alawi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Frost! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frost tries to close the distance and clinch but Alawi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A counter left hand to the body from Alawi misses its target. Frost moves into the clinch. Alawi is looking to take this one to the mat. Alawi goes for a takedown attempt but Frost pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
John Frost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Frost fails with an attempt to clinch.
Frost clinches up with Alawi and pushes him back against the cage. Alawi goes for a takedown in the clinch but Frost prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tahboule Alawi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Alawi fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Frost breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frost gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Alawi to score an easy takedown into full guard. Alawi is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frost pulls Alawi in close to prevent any damage. Alawi slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Alawi is staying tight to Frost's torso, preventing him from escaping. Alawi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Frost is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Frost felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Alawi is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Frost will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Frost stops Alawi from passing to mount. Alawi moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alawi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alawi has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Frost closes the distance and clinches. Alawi has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Frost clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Frost is trying to shake Alawi off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Alawi won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frost tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Frost tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alawi swats him away and circles back towards the center. Frost is looking to clinch but Alawi is avoiding it.
Frost darts in trying to clinch and Alawi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Alawi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Frost won't allow Alawi to pass to mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Alawi is working for a submission of some sort.
Alawi passes the guard and advances to mount! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tahboule Alawi dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Alawi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Alawi engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Further stalling from Alawi. Frost keeping moving, preventing Alawi from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alawi is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Alawi wants to control from the top but Frost keeps moving.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Alawi darts in looking for a takedown but Frost gets double underhooks and turns Alawi into the cage. Frost lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Alawi wants a takedown but no success here.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tahboule Alawi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Alawi can't get the takedown.
Alawi is trying to pull guard but Frost turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Alawi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Frost walks away with a smile on his face. Alawi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Frost moves into the clinch. Alawi is looking to take this one to the mat. Alawi tries to pull guard but Frost won't allow it.
Frost escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Alawi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alawi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Frost knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Alawi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Frost is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Alawi wants to control for a moment but Frost uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frost is not content to let Alawi control the position. Alawi perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Alawi is looking to take a break and control but Frost is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Alawi sitting and controlling from the half guard. Alawi moves nicely into side control. Frost regains half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Alawi is figuring out what he wants to do next. Alawi is trying to control. Frost wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Alawi trying to control the pace. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but John Frost will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Alawi shoots in but no luck this time. Frost doesn't manage to clinch there - Alawi circles away.

Frost moves into the clinch. Frost looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Alawi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Frost wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alawi jumps guard and drags Frost to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Frost wants to stand but Alawi has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Alawi managing to control the position. Frost gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Frost has managed to clinch.
Alawi is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Frost to keep the fight standing. Alawi has Frost pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Frost manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Alawi is trying to pull guard but Frost turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Frost breaks from the clinch.

Frost tries to clinch up. Frost darts in and clinches Alawi up against the cage. Alawi tries to pull guard but Frost forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Alawi is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Frost's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Alawi keeps the fight on the outside. Frost rushes Alawi and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Alawi changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Frost fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Frost takes the fight into the clinch. Frost will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Alawi up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alawi jumps guard but Frost turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Frost tries to circle away but Alawi has him pinned against the cage. Alawi tries to pull guard but Frost holds him up against the cage and eventually Alawi drops back down to his feet.
Alawi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Frost breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Frost moves into the clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Alawi tries to pull guard but Frost holds him up against the cage and eventually Alawi drops back down to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight! John Frost comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Frost has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
