Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Manly McManliness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jos Henvel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Manly McManliness! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jos Henvel! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Henvel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McManliness to the mat! McManliness manages to get full guard. Henvel looking to control the position here, rather than advance. McManliness is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
McManliness is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Henvel distracts McManliness with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. McManliness has his foot on Henvel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Henvel works his way back into a safe position though. McManliness throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Henvel not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. I looks like Henvel might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Let's hope that Henvel has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Henvel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Henvel stands and steps away. McManliness gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Henvel is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Henvel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McManliness pinned against the cage. McManliness gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. McManliness blocks a head kick by Henvel.

Henvel frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. McManliness keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Henvel lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Henvel lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
McManliness is trying to reverse the position but instead Henvel has taken his back - oops! McManliness is really stuck here.

McManliness is trying to get back to his feet but Henvel has full control of the position and if anything, McManliness has just worked his way into a worse spot. Henvel controlling from the back. McManliness manages to reverse the position and now he's in Henvel's guard. Nice work there by McManliness.

Henvel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. McManliness looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Henvel has picked McManliness up and slammed him! McManliness can't keep hold of the triangle and Henvel manages to pass to side control!

Henvel is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Henvel is working McManliness over with some ground and pound from side control. McManliness prevents Henvel from improving position. McManliness is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Henvel's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Jos Henvel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Henvel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Henvel shoots in and drives through. McManliness sprawls well. Henvel fails with the takedown and McManliness counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Henvel! Manly McManliness has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jos Henvel. McManliness working for a submission but Henvel is keeping him at bay. McManliness jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Henvel manages to avoid the submission attempt. Henvel is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked McManliness off and has taken his back!

Both fighters are breathing heavily. McManliness wants to get up but he can't break Henvel's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. McManliness thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Henvel lands with a heel strike from the guard.
Henvel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. McManliness drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McManliness jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. McManliness trying to stand up but can't free himself from Henvel's guard. Henvel trying to keep a closed guard but McManliness is proving a slippery customer.
McManliness really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. McManliness walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Henvel checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Henvel wants to clinch and McManliness counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Henvel throws a lazy head kick and McManliness cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Henvel clinches up against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Henvel as McManliness tries to tie him up. Henvel breaks the clinch.
McManliness gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Henvel counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McManliness's guard now.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. McManliness looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Henvel is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McManliness sees it coming and defends easily. Henvel looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McManliness with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Henvel performing his best blanket impression for a moment. McManliness looking for submissions off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Manly McManliness. I think Henvel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
