Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nurlan Karim (ranked 3748 p4p, 5527 weight class) and Jorge Topuria (ranked 420 p4p, 514 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nurlan Karim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jorge Topuria!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karim motions for Topuria to come forward. Karim throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Topuria doesn't manage to clinch there - Karim circles away.
Karim misses with an uppercut. Topuria saw that one coming.
Topuria is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Topuria tries to land a body kick
and Karim counters with a two punch combo.
Topuria shoots for a double leg takedown but Karim sprawls well. He's pushed Topuria's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Topuria misses with a takedown attempt - Karim sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jorge Topuria seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Karim counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Topuria tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Karim paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Topuria just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromKarim.
Topuria tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Karim defends well and Topuria ends up having to push Karim into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

As Topuria looks to move away, Karim throws a big counter combo but Topuria just gets out of the way.
Karim looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Topuria lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Karim has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Karim and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Karim counters with a nice right hand that sends Topuria toppling to the canvas! Topuria scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Karim finish him?!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Topuria tries to clinch up but Karim circles away and keeps his distance.

Topuria throws a hook to the side of Karim's head but Karim sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Karim counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Karim really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Karim lands a big head kick that sends Topuria tumbling to the mat! Karim takes a step backwards and waves Topuria back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Karim.
Topuria is looking for the big counter here.
Karim cracks Topuria with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Topuria doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Karim counters with a nice uppercut.
Topuria tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Karim manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Karim darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Topuria's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Karim before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

In his post fight interview, Nurlan Karim started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
