The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmberg stuffs the takedown.
Holmberg appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Holmberg throws out a loose jab but Battleaxe uses good head movement to avoid it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Battleaxe.

Mon Battleaxe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Holmberg closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
