Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roach dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Adams misses with a series of wild punches.
A chopping leg kick lands by Adams.
Roach throws the left hand but Adams avoids the punch easily.
Roach paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Adams misses with a series of wild punches.
Roach swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Adams tries a low kick but Roach avoids it.
Adams throws out a leg kick but Roach moves out of range and Adams only half commits.
Adams displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Roach works the jab nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It seemed like Roach was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Adams tries to bum rush Roach with a series of wild strikes but Roach uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Adams takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Adams throws a leg kick but Roach sees it coming and moves out of range.
Adams misses with a series of wild punches.
Roach changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Roach lands a jab to the head.
Roach has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Adams on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Roach dips to his left and cracks Adams with an uppercut!

Adams throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Roach.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Case Adams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Roach counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Adams takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Roach slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Roach fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Adams manages to avoid it.
Adams walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Roach connects with a good right hand that stumbles Adams. Adams circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Roach lands with a nice body punch.
Roach slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Adams is rocked!
Roach weaves into range and cracks Adams right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Adams goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Roach is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joseph Roach!
