Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Masaharu Shinota (ranked 5137 p4p, 3587 weight class) and Luca Toffoli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Masaharu Shinota has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Toffoli drives through and clinches with Shinota against the cage.
Shinota is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Toffoli to keep the fight standing.
Shinota jumps guard but Toffoli turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Shinota tries to pull guard but Toffoli won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Masaharu Shinota. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Toffoli jumps guard and drags Shinota to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Shinota trying to control but Toffoli is working from the bottom.
Toffoli is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shinota is controlling him.

Toffoli looking for a guillotine here but Shinota defends easily.

Shinota postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Toffoli is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Shinota, into his guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Toffoli has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Shinota to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Toffoli is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Shinota pulls down on the head and he's put Toffoli to sleep! This one is all over!
