Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tanahashi Hiroshi (ranked 5715 p4p, 24834 weight class) and Anthony Chen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tanahashi Hiroshi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anthony Chen! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hiroshi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chen swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hiroshi looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Nice body punch from Chen. Chen swats away the attempt to clinch by Hiroshi. Hiroshi blocks the body kick.
Chen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hiroshi defends well and Chen ends up having to push Hiroshi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Hiroshi moves in looking to clinch but Chen pushes him off. Hiroshi fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Chen fails with a takedown attempt. As Chen looks to move away, Hiroshi throws a big counter combo but Chen just gets out of the way. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hiroshi fails to land the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chen shoots in for a double leg but Hiroshi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Tanahashi Hiroshi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Chen. Hiroshi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chen's waist but Chen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hiroshi off to one side. Hiroshi stuffs the takedown. Chen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hiroshi.
Chen pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Chen throws a right and a left that both miss. Hiroshi misses with a takedown and Chen counters by moving into the clinch. Chen dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Chen holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Chen receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Chen has Hiroshi pressed against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chen jumps guard.
Chen controlling Hiroshi's posture. Chen lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Chen controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chen cracks Hiroshi with a solid left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hiroshi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Chen controls the pace. Hiroshi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Chen pushes down on Hiroshi's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Chen working over Hiroshi with some ground and pound. Hiroshi looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Chen content to control rather than advance. It looks like Chen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Chen lands a nice short elbow. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Chen drops an elbow to the side of Hiroshi's head. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Anthony Chen dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Chen clinches. Hiroshi prevents Chen from breaking the clinch. Chen lands a takedown into guard.
Hiroshi is looking to stand back up but Chen counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Hiroshi. Chen controlling the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chen landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Chen controlling the action here. Chen stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Hiroshi to get to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chen fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Chen throws a head kick but Hiroshi moves out of range.
Hiroshi is looking to clinch but Chen is avoiding it.
Chen moves into the clinch. Hiroshi blocks the elbow strike.
Chen manages to pull guard.
Chen has control of Hiroshi's left arm, preventing Hiroshi from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chen throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chen is on top in guard.
Chen passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Chen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Chen stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Hiroshi to get to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chen fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hiroshi is looking to clinch. Chen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hiroshi is fending him off so far but Chen persists. Nope, Hiroshi circles away and we're back to standing. Tanahashi Hiroshi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Chen. Hiroshi wants to clinch. As Hiroshi backs off Chen throws a huge counter combo but Hiroshi manages to avoid it all. Chen throws a head kick but Hiroshi moves out of range.
Chen has Hiroshi up against the cage in a clinch.
Chen gets control of Hiroshi's arms and successfully pulls guard. Chen will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chen looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Chen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hiroshi defends it easily. Hiroshi wants to get up but he can't break Chen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hiroshi is sitting in close to Chen's body. Chen has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Hiroshi is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Hiroshi is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Chen.
