The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brovarnik connects with a solid leg kick.
Brovarnik throws a head kick that Shima semi-blocks.
Brovarnik rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shima moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Shima checks the leg kick.
Shima seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
We've been informed that Brovarnik has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Shima on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Brovarnik. Brovarnik obviously looking to wear him down.
Alexei Brovarnik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shima goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Shima walks forward, straight into a front kick from Brovarnik.
A nice combination there by Brovarnik.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shima chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Brovarnik can pounce on him.
Brovarnik feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Shima collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!
