Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyson Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos Hernandez! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hernandez throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease. Silva jabbing away but nothing is landing. Hernandez has taken the fight to the clinch.
Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hernandez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively. Carlos Hernandez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hernandez counters with a nice uppercut. Hernandez clinches. Hernandez lands a nice uppercut. Hernandez lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Hernandez is trying to break the clinch but Silva has him pressed against the cage. Hernandez stalling the fight.
Silva has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Silva stalls. A nice glancing elbow lands by Hernandez. Hernandez blocks a body shot from Silva. Hernandez stalling in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hernandez's efforts to push away. Silva stalls. Silva can't find room to land a body shot as Hernandez controls the action.
Silva tries to throw a body punch but Hernandez avoids it by throwing Silva back against the cage. Hernandez breaks from the clinch.

Hernandez rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage. Silva wants a takedown.

It looks like Tyson Silva has been cut. Hernandez lands a body punch in the clinch. Hernandez throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Silvas head. Hernandez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Hernandez misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Hernandez is looking to clinch. Hernandez looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well. Silva connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Hernandez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hernandez has closed the distance and engaged Silva in a clinch.
Hernandez's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Silva has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Silva misses with a hook to the ribs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. A left hand lands to the body for Silva.
Hernandez lands a left hand.
Silva tries to land knees in the clinch but Hernandez avoids the damage to the body. Silva goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Hernandez lands with a short head shot on the inside. Silva has Hernandez pressed against the cage, preventing Hernandez from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Hernandez blocks a body shot from Silva. Silva is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Silva goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Silva moves out of range as Hernandez strikes. Silva clinches but Hernandez breaks the clinch and Hernandez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hernandez preventing the sweep. Hernandez would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hernandez counters with a thumping low kick. Hernandez gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hernandez breaks from the clinch.

Silva closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hernandez did well to prevent Silva getting side control. Silva frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hernandez trying desperately to get to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Silva postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hernandez looks a forlorn figure.
Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva looking to control but Hernandez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Silva is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hernandez can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Silva tries to control but Hernandez wriggling away. Hernandez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hernandez is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Silva is trying to control here but Hernandez has managed to regain half guard.

Silva wants to free his trapped foot but Hernandez is holding on for dear life with his legs. Silva is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Silva stops Hernandez from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A head kick misses from Hernandez. Silva wants to clinch. Silva smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hernandez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Hernandez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard. Silva looking for a sweep. Not yet Silva, not yet. Hernandez gets to his feet - Silva follows without any prompting. Hernandez throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Hernandez misses with a double jab
and Silva counters with a single leg into guard. Hernandez didn't expect that. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silva wants to control from the top but Hernandez keeps moving. Silva advances position into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Hernandez is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Silva trying to control the action but Hernandez is working from the bottom. Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hernandez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Silva throws a strike aimed at the side of Hernandez's head but Hernandez avoids it well. Hernandez pushes Silva away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Silva gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but Hernandez is defending well. Hernandez bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Silva tries to clinch up but Hernandez circles away and keeps his distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hernandez falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Silva counter with a right hand. Hernandez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hernandez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Silva is proving hard to escape from. Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hernandez defends well. Silva has a closed guard, preventing Hernandez from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hernandez preventing the sweep. Silva looking to control.
Hernandez wants to stand but Silva is controlling his posture from full guard. Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hernandez's guard. Hernandez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Silva is controlling him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hernandez is keeping the position for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Tyson Silva showed his dominance in that final round. I think Silva has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
