Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Kenny Wells (ranked 24378 p4p, 24250 weight class) and Stan Young (ranked 594 p4p, 585 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kenny Wells! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stan Young! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wells cracks Young with a good jab. Wells closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Stan Young has been cut. Wells smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Wells goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Nice shot lands for Wells. Wells lands with a right, followed by a left to the temple and Young goes down! The ref sends Wells to a neutral corner so he can begin the count. 3,4,5,6 and Young is back to his feet. He seems a little groggy but the referee thinks he's OK to continue, so we're back to the action! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wells looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Wells has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Wells there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Kenny Wells has been cut. The crowd cheers as Wells lands an impressive looking overhand right. Young doesn't seem phased though. Wells connects with the punch. Wells throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kenny Wells seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Young shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Wells scores with a nice head shot.
Young is rocked! Wells bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Young is still on wobbly legs! Can Wells finish him? Young misses with a straight right. Young seems to have recovered his senses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Young walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Wells takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Young walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Kenny Wells! An out of breath Kenny Wells thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
