Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Manuel Paruzzi (ranked 1587 p4p, 3792 weight class) and Phil Cayman (ranked 58 p4p, 143 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Manuel Paruzzi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Phil Cayman!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paruzzi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cayman's waist but Cayman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Paruzzi off to one side.
Cayman changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Paruzzi has a takedown stuffed.
Cayman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Paruzzi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Paruzzi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cayman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Cayman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Paruzzi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cayman has managed to get both his arms back between Paruzzi's legs - danger averted.
Paruzzi is looking for a triangle but Cayman pushes his legs off easily.
Paruzzi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cayman defends it easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cayman throwing strikes but missing.
Paruzzi has his foot on Cayman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cayman works his way back into a safe position though.

Cayman trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Paruzzi is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Cayman frees his head nicely. Oh but Paruzzi has switched to an armbar! Cayman is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
