Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quintin Crawford! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Stack! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab lands there for Stack. A jab lands there for Crawford. Stack throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Crawford forces Stack back against the cage and clinches. Crawford wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A quick uppercut on the inside from Stack. Crawford wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Stack tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Crawford is trying to break the clinch but Stack is controlling him. Crawford is looking to break free of the clinch but Stack has double underhooks. Stack drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crawford is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crawford tries to free his leg and advance position but Stack is retaining full guard. Stack can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Crawford controls the pace. Stack trying to control the position.
Crawford trying to control but Stack is working from the bottom. Crawford knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stack on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crawford stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Stack has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Crawford manages to get his head free but now Stack has transitioned to an armbar! Crawford grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Stack! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
