Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ameen Robertson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Santino Cabal!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabal slips under a jab from Robertson.
Cabal is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Robertson.
Cabal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Robertson swinging wildly here.
A jab lands there for Robertson.
Cabal throws a looping overhand right but Robertson ducks down to avoid it.
Robertson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Cabal connects with a right hand. Robertson shakes it off.
Cabal misses with a hook. Robertson ducked under it nicely.
Robertson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cabal was well out of range. Poor timing from Robertson.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cabal looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cabal ducks right into an uppercut from Robertson.
Cabal changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Cabal throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Robertson on the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cabal jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Cabal cracks Robertson with an open hand slap.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Robertson thows a left - swing and a miss!
Robertson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cabal.
An attempted straight right counter from Robertson misses the target.
Robertson looks to land a left hand but Cabal moved out of range nicely.
A telegraphed right hand from Robertson misses the target.
Cabal tries a head kick but it misses.
Santino Cabal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Robertson misses with a hook.
Robertson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cabal counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Robertson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Cabal tests Robertson's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Robertson is rocked!
Cabal circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Robertson drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Cabal follows Robertson to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Santino Cabal!
Santino Cabal decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
