The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Excellent takedown into side control there by Lefevre . Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Lefevre (4) vs (0) Bowen Bowen trying to remain calm as Lefevre controls from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Bowen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bowen is looking to reverse the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lefevre looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bowen is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lefevre in side control, just content to control the action for now. Bowen is looking to regain half guard here but Lefevre keeps moving and retains side control. Lefevre has hold of Bowen's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Bowen seems comfortable defending it but Lefevre has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Bowen is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Bowen is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lefevre couldn't care less - he's delighted!
