Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Miyamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Rood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rood has chosen Enter Sandman, by Metallica as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brad Rood! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rood tries to bum rush Miyamoto with a series of wild strikes but Miyamoto uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rood misses with a wild body shot. Rood tries to close the distance and clinch but Miyamoto swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rood takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Rood tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Miyamoto was well out of range. Poor timing from Rood. Rood throws a shot from downtown. Miyamoto moves away and avoids it. Miyamoto lands with an overhand left. Miyamoto looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Miyamoto lands with a slapping head kick. Miyamoto connects with a high kick. Rood closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown.
