Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Little Late (ranked 2845 p4p, 4297 weight class) and Yoji Anjo Anjo (ranked 365 p4p, 490 weight class). Little Late is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Little Late!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 31 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yoji Anjo Anjo!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Late swinging wildly here.
Late dips to his left and cracks Anjo with an uppercut!
Late misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Late sets himself, and Anjo steps forward looking for the clinch! Late avoids it this time.
Anjo takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Anjo shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Anjo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Late tries to roll over but Anjo keeps him under control.
Anjo is trying to control. Late wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Late wants to sweep but Anjo has passed to side control!

Late tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Anjo prevents Late from escaping the position.
Late is trying to get back to half guard.
Anjo throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Anjo throws an elbow but Late slips to the side and avoids it well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Anjo slows the pace down.
Let's hope that Anjo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Anjo stands up and beckons Late to his feet.

Anjo closes the distance and pushes Late back into the cage.

Late breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Anjo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Late.
Late throws a series of punches but Anjo avoids them all with ease.
Late throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Late lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Late looks to land a combination but Anjo avoids it well.

Anjo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Late quickly recovers to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anjo scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Late wants to improve his position but Anjo is controlling well.
Anjo missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Anjo content to control rather than advance.
Late trying to hold on to Anjo's head to control him but Anjo postures up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Anjo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Late, who protects the arm well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Little Late will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anjo tries to free his leg and advance position but Late is retaining full guard.

Anjo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Late swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Late looks for a takedown but Anjo sprawls well.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Anjo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Anjo drives through with a takedown into guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Late holds on and takes a little breather.
Anjo controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Anjo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Anjo stays in close to Late's body and controls the position.
Anjo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Late has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anjo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Late looks to land a combination. Anjo sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Anjo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Late's guard.
Anjo stops Late from standing up.
Anjo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Late's guard.

Anjo is trying to work for a kimura but Late is defending well.
Anjo is looking to advance position but Late won't allow it.
Anjo passes to side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Anjo has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Late takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Yoji Anjo Anjo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Late is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Late wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
A frustrated look appears on Late's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Anjo has hold of one of Late's legs. Late is fighting the takedown attempt but Anjo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Anjo postures up and lands a big shot to Late's brow.
Anjo wants to control from the top but Late keeps moving.
Anjo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Anjo slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Late.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anjo content to control rather than advance.

Anjo seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Anjo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Late does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Anjo is figuring out what he wants to do next.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Late shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Anjo takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Anjo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Late slips a jab and a cross from Anjo.
Late swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Late misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Late tries to land a front kick but Anjo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Anjo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Late looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A frustrated look appears on Late's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Anjo rushes Late and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Late has had enough of the clinch but Anjo keeps him there for the moment.

Anjo lands a takedown into guard.
Anjo content to stall in guard here.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Anjo.

And that's the end of the fight!
Little Late showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Late has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
