Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Carlton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tadamasa Yamada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ronnie Carlton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronnie Carlton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tadamasa Yamada! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlton lands a nice shot that snaps Yamada's head back.
It looks like Tadamasa Yamada has been cut. Carlton misses with a wild combination.
Carlton looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. No joy there for Carlton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Carlton throws a jab but it's blocked by Yamada. Carlton misses with a straight right. Carlton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Yamada moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Carlton bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Yamada is rocked! Yamada checks a leg kick. Carlton throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Carlton throws a hook but Yamada blocks it. Carlton could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Carlton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yamada moves away. Yamada slips a jab and a cross from Carlton.
No joy there for Carlton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Carlton throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Yamada will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Horrible takedown by Yamada or perhaps it was just good defense by Carlton which made him look bad. Carlton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamada fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ronnie Carlton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tadamasa Yamada. Yamada walks into a stiff left hand from Carlton. Carlton jabbing away but nothing is landing. Carlton is breathing heavily. Carlton throws a right and a left that both miss. A punch combination from Carlton misses. Carlton bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Yamada's head backwards. Yamada shoots in and bounces Carlton off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. Yamada controls from within his opponent's guard. Yamada throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Carlton works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Yamada slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Yamada trying to control the position from guard on top but Carlton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Carlton being controlled here, momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamada stands and throws Carlton's legs to the side, diving into side control. A control attempt from Carlton but he's now mounted! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Carlton is squirming around, avoiding Yamada's attempts to control the action. Carlton is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamada trying to control but Carlton is having none of it. Carlton can't escape the position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Tadamasa Yamada just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carlton throws a right and a left that Yamada avoids nicely. Carlton swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Yamada fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Carlton sprawls well initially but Yamada persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Carlton looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Yamada performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Carlton is looking to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlton is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Yamada pulls his head out easily. Carlton manages to get to full guard.

Carlton is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Yamada wants to control from the top but Carlton keeps moving. Carlton working for a triangle but Yamada defends it easily.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Yamada looking to pass the guard. Carlton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Yamada doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Carlton is tightening it up a little... Yamada has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Yamada reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Yamada taps out! nice BJJ there by Carlton!
