These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dukes tries to bum rush Roth with a series of wild strikes but Roth uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Roth is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Dukes closes the distance and clinches up with Roth, looking for a takedown. Dukes pushes Roth against the cage but Roth circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Roth thuds his shin into the meat of Dukes's side.
Dukes throws a low kick but Roth moves out of range easily.

Roth pushes Dukes up against the cage in a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Roth's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Dukes breaks the clinch.
Bubba Dukes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dukes wants to stand but Roth has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Dukes wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Roth's closed guard. He's half up but Roth has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Roth pivots and extends the arm, Dukes falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Roth! Well done that man!
