PBP Commentary

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Neal Robson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rocky Balboa!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balboa dodges the punch combination from Robson.

Robson forces Balboa back against the cage and clinches.
Balboa throws a head punch that misses.
A shot in the inside from Robson.
Robson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Balboa backwards.
Robson scores with a shot to the side of Balboa's head.
Robson can't find room to land a body shot as Balboa controls the action.

Balboa pulls guard.
Robson sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Robson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Balboa on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Robson trying to control but Balboa is working from the bottom.
Balboa looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Balboa looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Balboa is controlling Robson's posture.
Robson showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Balboa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Robson is looking to improve his position.
Balboa is taking a breather. Robson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Robson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Balboa is working away from the top position though.

Balboa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Robson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Balboa.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Balboa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Robson keeps working.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Balboa thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Robson gets back to full guard.
Balboa controlling from the top position.
Robson wants to control but Balboa passes easily into half guard.

Balboa is working for a submission of some sort.
Balboa thows a huge punch but Robson dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Balboa is trying to control the action in half guard but Robson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Balboa wants to take a breather but Robson is having none of it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Robson lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Robson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Robson moves into the clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Neal Robson dominated that round.
That's time! Robson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Robson throws a nice inside leg kick.
Balboa takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Robson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Robson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
And Balboa tries to counter it with a takedown but Robson pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Robson tests Balboa's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Robson throws a looping overhand right but Balboa ducks down to avoid it.
Robson connects with a right hand. Balboa shakes it off.
Balboa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Robson.
Balboa tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Robson drops Balboa with a big left hand! Balboa is injured, injured bad! Robson jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Neal Robson!
During a confident post fight interview, Neal Robson thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Rocky Balboa spoke after the fight, saying 'Thanks Silverguard Outfitters, Furnace Performance, and MMA Helsieki. I will work for a shot at the Title.'.
