Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lolo Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stretch Morbid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morbid is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Fight song. Stretch Morbid will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lolo Perez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stretch Morbid! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morbid tries to clinch up. Morbid fails in his attempt to clinch. Morbid tries to clinch up. Morbid avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Perez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Morbid manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Morbid wants to stand and escape but Perez is having none of it. Morbid wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Perez manages to pass to side control. Morbid tries to kick Perez off but Perez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Morbid rushes Perez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Morbid escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Perez fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Morbid misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Perez takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Morbid feints and then cracks Perez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Perez down. Perez dives in and grabs Morbid's left leg, looking for a takedown. Morbid pushes down on Perez's head and hops out. Perez is breathing heavily. Perez throws a leg kick and Morbid counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Perez is lucky that one didn't land flush. Morbid tries to clinch but fails miserably and Perez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Morbid pushes Perez off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Morbid looks for the body kick but Perez saw that one coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morbid looks to clinch and Perez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Morbid won't be happy with that. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Morbid wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Morbid is being controlled here. Perez is looking to take a break and control but Morbid is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Perez prevents Morbid from escaping the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Perez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Morbid looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Morbid tries to escape but Perez is in control. Perez looks up at the clock and then as Morbid takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Perez smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Morbid tries to escape but Perez is in control. Perez is looking to take a break and control but Morbid is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Morbid bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Morbid tries to clinch but fails miserably so Perez counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Morbid is looking to stand back up but Perez counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Morbid. Morbid pushes Perez off looking to stand but Perez dives back in and keeps control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Perez is taking a breather. Morbid says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Morbid is refusing to be controlled, as Perez sits in half guard. Perez stops Morbid from getting back to his feet.
Perez slows the pace down in half guard. Morbid pushes Perez off looking to stand but Perez dives back in and keeps control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Morbid lands with a nice combination. Perez backs away looking to recover. Perez moves out of range of the body kick from Morbid.

Perez remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Morbid closes the distance looking to clinch and Perez counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Perez prevents Morbid from standing back up.
Still in half guard, Perez seems content to control. Morbid has one foot on Perez's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Perez moves into the clinch successfully.
A frustrated look appears on Morbid's face as he tries to break the clinch.

A low kick from Morbid is predictable there and Perez counters with a takedown into side control. Perez prevents Morbid from escaping the position. Perez working the head and body with strikes. Morbid is pushing Perez's head away, looking to escape. Perez manages to hold on to the position though. Morbid is not content to let Perez control the position. Perez lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Morbid tries to clinch and Perez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Perez checks a low kick from Morbid. Morbid swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Perez is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Morbid's half guard. Perez prevents Morbid from standing back up.
Perez passes the guard and advances to mount! Perez landing shots from mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Morbid's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Perez trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lolo Perez dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Morbid goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Morbid closes the distance looking to clinch and Perez counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Morbid! Morbid wants to try and get back to his feet. Perez pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Morbid is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Morbid is squirming around, avoiding Perez's attempts to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morbid's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Perez dominating with strikes here. Morbid is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Perez breaks from Morbid's wrist control and lands an elbow. Morbid really wants to buck Perez off and get back to his feet. Perez with good strikes from the mount here! Perez unloads with some shots from mount but Morbid bucks and avoids them well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Perez cracks Morbid with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Perez trying to control but he's not successful this time. Morbid wants to get back to his feet.
Perez wants to finish this one by submission but Morbid is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Perez. Perez thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Morbid is looking to escape. Morbid is trying to stand up. Morbid is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Perez wants to control the pace but Morbid is squirming around nicely. Stretch Morbid has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Morbid is trying to stand up. Morbid throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Lolo Perez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Morbid throwing hammer fists to the chest of Perez. What's that going to do exactly? The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Morbid wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

And that's the end of the fight! Lolo Perez showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Perez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
