This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 55 wins and 38 losses; Shane MacGowan! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 32 wins and 21 losses; Vasiliy Kulik! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Nice sprawl there from Kulik as MacGowan shoots in. Kulik pushes MacGowan up against the ropes in a clinch. Kulik gets control of MacGowan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kulik will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. MacGowan won't allow Kulik to sweep him here. MacGowan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kulik is keeping the position for now. Kulik is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. MacGowan is looking to pass into half guard but Kulik pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Kulik is in guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Well, if Kulik is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Score +3 for taking back: MacGowan (0) vs (14) Kulik Kulik is riding his opponent, not letting MacGowan buck him off. MacGowan trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. MacGowan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kulik has the hooks in. MacGowan is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Kulik's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Kulik is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

You can see the frustration on MacGowan's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Kulik slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

MacGowan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kulik controls from within his opponent's guard. MacGowan throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kulik escapes and throws MacGowan's legs to the side, diving into side control! Score +3 for passing guard: MacGowan (2) vs (19) Kulik Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! MacGowan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kulik wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
