And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jabari Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fontaine looking to score a takedown here. Johnson is defending well but Fontaine drives through and ends up in Johnson's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet.
Fontaine won't allow Johnson to get back to his feet.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.
Johnson being controlled here, momentarily.
Fontaine's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fontaine passes into half guard.

Fontaine is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Johnson sees it coming and defends easily.
Fontaine is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fontaine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fontaine pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Fontaine is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Fontaine extends the arm and Johnson is forced to tap!
